Malakal Update:
Influx rate for over the month of October contin-ues to show an increasing trend compared to mid-September. Since the beginning of October, the daily average influx rate is 100 individuals which is high compared to the same period in September which was 4. This increase is mainly attributed to limited food at the household level. All new arri-vals are coming from within Malakal County, Wau-Shilluk and Ogod payam.
Bentiu Update:
Daily influx rate in Bentiu PoC showed a sharp in-crease after it has been steadily declining over the last one month. On an average, 147 new IDPs have come to Bentiu PoC daily since mid-September, a de-crease compared to same period in August where 280 individuals were registered daily as new arrivals. October influx is attributed to recent clashes be-tween government forces and rebels, and food inse-curity. All new arrivals are coming from Rubkano, Koch, Guit and Leer counties.
